WRITER'S CHALLENGES are teasers that are thought up by our participants to stimulate writing, to use as some fodder to practice writing, to serve as a method to generate material to read in sessions, to inspire writers to "capture" a greater work such as a short story or a novel or a poem or an essay, etc, that will be worked on into the future. To attend our sessions, there is no absolute need to write anything (strong readers can offer excellent ideas and critique) but it is encouraged.

Writer's Challenge

Write about the next picture you look at - not one you just happen to see but one that catches your eye for some reason. Write a short story or a couple of paragraphs that arise from the picture and move into story.
