Bring a character into an empty room that belongs in some way to another character (a bedroom, study, office, etc).  Without using too much judgement of the viewing character, describe the room so as to get the character of the owner.

Using the historic huge 4 day blizzard of 1933 (?) write a few paragraphs or a scene that sets up a story. 

Set up a protagonist that comes from a very high social class forced into a much lower setting and SHOW SHOW SHOW this.
