Add as much DRAMA to your short story as you can (see previous challenges) ...Move it toward the climax. Write the climax if you can.

Tighten up your CHARACTER from last week and place him/her in a "situation." We will be writing "longish" short stories.

SHORT STORY CRAFTING: This CHALLENGE is a different one, one that will extend out several weeks and result (hopefully) in a Pulitzer for best short story....Write a character (Consider using a character worksheet - see this website) and set him on the ground at a specific place (i.e do setting as well). Give your character a near-fatal flaw.
