The Marion County Writers Workshop was founded in Februray, 2003 as a way for writers to get together and share their experiences and their work.  MCWW has been meeting weekly since that time, over coffee and other delicibles.  It is a fun gathering (our primary goal), inspiring, encouraging, and always a learning experience.
MCWW believes in learning the art and craft of writing through WRITING.  "The biggest impediment to good writing is NOT writing." Members workshop their ongoing pieces, receive helpful and constructive criticism from like-minded writers, discuss the craft, in an effort to mold a piece of writing to its best.  "There is no good writing, only good re-writing."
MCWW meets at 6:30PM every Thursday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Attica Road on the east side of Knoxville (east of Pine Knolls Golf and Country Club).  Anyone interested in the writing life may sit in at anytime. There are no dues or fees for membership.
